This one is my main PC that I share with my brother. It's an HP Compaq desktop from 2004 that was salvaged from recycling, gutted, and fitted with modern parts. It has a AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, an ASRock Radeon 7900 GRE, all attached to a standard ATX motherboard.
Out of the dozen or so computers I've built over the last few years, this computer was one of the most fun to build!
My home server has been my perpetual project for the last year-and-a-half.
It started its life as a full desktop using spare parts from my friend's old PC build, running Ubuntu Desktop 24/7 in my basement. I used it for a minecraft server and a samba network share, as well as watching youtube or streaming tv shows.
Since then I have moved the parts to a dedicated 2U server chassis, and switched to Proxmox VE to run multiple OS instances. These are the OSes and softwares currently running on it:
I would also eventually like to install software to record and monitor CCTV cameras, but that is a project for another time.
